CM Punjab Wheat Support Program

The CM Punjab Wheat Support Program 2025 is a government initiative offering financial assistance of PKR 5,000 per acre to eligible farmers, including landowners and tenants cultivating wheat on up to 12.5 acres. The support aims to boost wheat production and reduce farming costs, with direct payments managed through the Bank of Punjab to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for The Government of Punjab’s Wheat Subsidy Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicant Type: Owner or Tenant
  • Maximum Land Holding: Upto 12.5 acres
  • Applicants with landholding greater than 12.5 acres will be rejected.

The Struggle of Wheat Farmers

In Punjab, wheat is the backbone of agriculture, but this season has been brutal. Prices dropped, weather turned unpredictable, and input costs like seed and fertilizer stayed high. I met small farmers who said every rupee counts now—it’s the difference between profit and loss. With farmers protesting for fair rates, the government launched the CM Punjab Wheat Support Program to help. Through this, eligible growers get PKR 5,000 per acre as direct support—a lifeline in this crisis. This move aims to protect crops and keep Punjab’s fields alive amid a perfect storm of rising costs and falling prices.

By offering financial assistance, ensuring fair support prices, and addressing critical issues in wheat production, the Punjab Government is not only supporting its farmers—but also securing the agricultural backbone of the province.
